Flame Gem: Created by matching a set of 4 gems. When time is up, there are some additional points awarded during the Last Hurrah phase. They become increasingly scarce when progressing rounds, making it more difficult to fill the Time Extension tank.Īt the end of a round, the Time Gems that are not matched are changed into Flame Gems (+5) and Star Gems (+10 or +15). Time Gems are added randomly after creating matches. When time is up, the next round starts with the time that is in the Time Extension tank. In each round, the collected Time Gems (+5, +10 or +15) add seconds to the Time Extension tank. In the beginning of the game, the timer is set to 60 seconds. If you make multiple matches in a row fast enough, you will get a speed bonus. The Timer bar at the top of the game board shows how much time you have left. In the Speed game mode (also known as Lightning) you only have a limited amount of time to score points. The game ends when there are no moves available anymore. Every time you progress a level, the Level Bar will require more points to be filled. There is no time limit or other requirement to advance a level, so you can take all the time you need to study the board before making a move.Ĭomplete the progress bar below the game board (called Level Bar) to progress to the next level. In the Classic game mode you advance to the next level by collecting points. Just take a few minutes to read the instructions and your adventure will be over in no time at all.Bejeweled has two game modes: classic and timed. This is great because it helps you not to get frustrated as you may reach the end of the level and not know how to proceed. Another great feature of the game is that when you are done playing, the screen will conveniently flash a sign letting you know that you have successfully completed the game. In addition to the regular four color wheel that is used in every level of Bejeweled Twist, you can also listen to the pop-up samples for some extra entertainment. After beating the first level, you will unlock a fourth gem that will make rotating the gems even easier. For example, one of these music choices includes the classic circus theme, another choice is a combination of orange and green, and the third choice has the pop-ups used in the final game. You can also listen to three different background music samples while playing Bejeweled Twist. Besides the regular four color wheel that is used in every level of Bejeweled Twist, the main menu has two pop-ups which will change the music when you change your board. The first few levels are easy enough to beat so don't go too crazy trying to collect all the stars while there are still plenty of levels left. There are five directions to choose from, namely left, right, up, down and bottom. It is designed in such a way that when you are done rotating your gems, they will automatically face the direction you had previously pointed them to. The game is played on the 2D grid, which is located at the center of your screen. The game is very much similar to Tetris but this time, you have to stack up the board in order to make the right moves. Bejeweled Twist is a game from Popcap Games that lets you tilt and flip your gems in order to gain points.
